The freeride area around the Grubenbach is extensive and offers a wide range of different slope inclinations. The Grubenbach area can be reached via the ski route from the Olympiabahn mountain station at Hoadl. Right at the start of the Herrenabdahrt, you branch off from the right-hand edge of the piste and find yourself directly on ski route 15. Here, too, you will usually find very good powder. At an altitude of 2,180m, you leave the flat section through the eye of the needle in a north-easterly direction and after another small steep section, you turn right back to the Olympiabahn. From an altitude of 2,120m, you can ride under the Olympiabahn. From here, there are extensive freeriding options. Either leisurely and somewhat flatter, continuing parallel to the Olympiabahn, or somewhat steeper and sportier to the right down to ski slope 1, the ladies' downhill run.
Maximum slope gradient up to 35°
Difference in altitude incl. ski route from Hoadl: 550 m
Enjoyable descent!
