Classic on the mountain

The Tyrolean chamber orchestra InnStrumenti once again invites you to THE alpine urban concert highlight of the year. This special classical open-air concert takes place in a unique location in the picturesque mountain world of Axamer Lizum, at an altitude of 2340 metres.

A cable car will bring the audience quickly and comfortably to the concert venue on the mountain, where the musicians of InnStrumenti will present a varied programme with outstanding instrumental soloists under the direction and moderation of Gerhard Sammer. This time the soloists are Elisabeth Schuen, Marlene Schuen and Natalie Plöger from the South Tyrolean pop trio Ganes, who have already performed in a pre-concert, and the young trombonist Jakob Ettlinger. This programme will appeal to listeners of all ages: Highlights of classical music, excerpts from well-known works and also pieces of music that correspond to the location of the concert on the mountain can be heard.

On the one hand, this concert format offers families and young people in particular an introduction to classical music, but on the other hand, thanks to the sophisticated programme concept and the high quality of the orchestra, this concert evening is also a listening experience for classical music connoisseurs - whether on the blanket they have brought along or standing up!

Before the concert, smaller music groups will set the mood for the afternoon concert on the way to the stage on the mountain (valley, middle and mountain station). In the event of bad weather, tickets purchased in advance are valid at the Haus der Musik (limited contingent). www.innstrumenti.at will announce on Friday, 6 September from 12 noon whether the concert will take place on the mountain or at the Haus der Musik!

There are no seats, so we recommend that you bring picnic blankets to sit on in the meadows.
Bring sun and rain protection, warmer clothing is recommended for the mountain.
